Summer safety tips

Summer is such a wonderful opportunity to spend time out in nature with our families. Of course, there are all sorts of things we need to prepare for to keep our children safe and healthy. Here are just a few things we thought of:

1) Sunscreen (age appropriate formulas)
2) For extra sensitive skin use sun-filtering clothing and hats
3) Swimming lessons for toddlers (or younger) to prevent water accidents
4) Natural bug repellents for areas with high mosquito activity
5) Have lots of water around so everyone stays hydrated
6) Take advantage of all the fresh summer fruits for obvious health reasons
7) Update tetanus shots as there are sure to be many bare feet running around
8) Be sure picnic items are kept cold so they don't spoil and cause illness

Happy summer everyone. Please feel free to add more tips to our list as it's not complete,

Cheryl
